8 Little Known T-shirt Tips to Differentiate Yourself from the Crowd
noted on June 8th, 2009 by fabrikadeT-shirts have become a medium for self-expression and advertising for all age group but the youths primarily, sees it as being the fashion.
In the face of such overwhelming popularity, how can you differentiate yourself? How can you get noticed? Here are a few tips on doing that:
1. If you are heavy on top, go for broad stripes, they help in making you appear slimmer.
2. When you buy a round-neck or a V-neck T-shirt, stretch the neckband a bit. If it takes too much effort, it’s best not to buy it.
3. If you want your torso to look slimmer and your legs to look sturdier, pair a dark T-shirt with light-coloured denims.
4. A distressed T-shirt looks good, but you need to make sure it looks vintage, not old. Also, with distressed half-sleeved T-shirts, the fit becomes all the more important, to get the right size, ensure the sleeves are fitted but it’s not too tight across the chest or shoulders, and not too tapered along the sides.
5. T-shirts that end right by the hip are the best. Any longer and they look ill-fitted or at worst, sloppy.
6. T-shirt sleeves should never flare out. They should always be in slight contact with your arms without cutting off blood circulation.
7. A graphic print does wonders for an otherwise run-of-the-mill tee. Opt for a muted T-shirt colour because that will make the print stand out.
8. If you have a dark skin tone, try unusual earthy colours such as mustard, sap green and purple. If you’re fair, flamboyant colours such as orange and grass green will suit you.
