url shortener for nsfw (not safe for work) links

Monday, March 31st, 2008

In their own words…
Ever clicked a link and felt embarrassed with the content in front of your co-workers? Ever caught unaware because the funny link your friend sent was a little beyond funny?

NSFW.in is a new URL redirection service that shortens the URL and also shows this warning “Links away from this site are not suited for persons below the age of 18 years” when someone clicks the shortened URL. Here’s a URL (Facebook site) I shortened using NSFW.in.

yahoo shine

Yahoo launched Shine, an online magazine aimed at women in the 25-54 demographics today. The various sections (such as home, parenting, fashion, culture, and career) contain articles and tips that reflect the age group they’re targeting at. Besides being able to read mail at Shine, users will be able to start their blog and write their own content right there. Blog articles from Shine users may stand a chance to be featured at various sections of the site. The social networking features are fairly standard so that the content will be it’s main focus. Interestingly, Yahoo has been aggressive with new product launches lately with Yahoo Buzz, Yahoo Live, Yahoo oneConnect, video ads on Yahoo searches prior to Shine.

The gun holster t-shirt from Rita speaks of quality and high technical skills required for this kind of design. As you can see from the images, the screen printing runs throughout the back, underarms and then the front. The alignment would have run if there is no quality checks. Rather than slapping traced graphic elements onto the t-shirt, Rita takes time to create the gun holster graphic while maintaining the shape and proportionality of the subject.

Ser-vice is a lifestyle brand that serves graphically clean goodness for him and her. You may find their designs simple but they are graphically bold and will certainly make bold statements. Less are definitely more in many ways. Their roots are in graphic design, but they’re driven by architecture, furniture, good food, friendships, surf trips, flip tricks, photography and smart design.
