issues with formatting of newsletters in Gmail

Monday, February 25th, 2008

We’ve received a couple of emails from subscribers that the newsletters they have been receiving did not format or rendered properly in Gmail. We have send test emails out to our own Gmail accounts and realized this problem too. Apparently, Gmail and some other email provider do not render CSS-based emails properly. In fact, they ignore, modify, or delete these external references to a stylesheet.

Get around this problem by clicking the link that says “Display images below” at top left of the newsletter post. Images from the newsletter will load from our end and it will look ok, just. The best option is to click the link that says “Click to view this email in a browser” at top of the newsletter.

Thanks for the feedback!

shipping rate and courier service

faqs

About five days ago, we received a enquiry about our shipping rate for local deliveries and issues about picking up of parcels from the courier services. We thought it’ll be useful to share with all of you.

Why are you paying SGD$5* for delivery in Singapore?
We are using a local courier service to deliver all our items so as to ensure that the goods arrive promptly, in top condition and received by your good-self. Thus, the flat rate SGD$5* applies respectively.

What happens if no one’s at home to pick-up from our delivery guy?
For the case whereby the courier calls upon an empty residence, he will call the Customer to check if it’s okay to park the item with a neighbour, drop it in the mailbox (if can fit) or arrange another delivery date, usually the next day. Other delivery arrangements will be subjected to availability and chargeable to Customer. Do note that delivery is usually done before 6pm, unless specifically stated.

Therefore, it is important that Customer provide an address whereby there will be someone around to sign for the parcel. We have negotiated with our courier service provider to do delivery on weekends at no extra charge.

Can I opt for normal mail order instead?
Sure, we send our items through local mail provider, Singapore Post too. However, we must make it clear that there are risks involved for that option. We are not responsible for any damage or loss of parcel after we hand over the parcel to Singapore Post.

Got questions or enquiries?
Drop us a email at enquiry@fabrikade.sg. We do our best to reply as quickly and promptly as possible.

* A flat rate of SGD$5.00 applies for total order less than SGD$60.00. Free shipping applies to total order of SGD$60.00 and above.
