Colin's Photograffi
Colin's Photograffi was started in 2005 with a quest in our hearts: to be loving, sentimental, to be ROMANTICS.
Yeah right, sure.
We don't shoot weddings. well, not the loving, sentimental or romantic type anyway.
We are what we are (which is none of the above) but we promise originality and if we can keep a straight face, artistry.

What drives us?
We don't know, but we do drive the mundane and humdrum up the wall.
Basically, we just want our subjects to look good...
or psychotic...
or having a blast...
You'll get fun, weirdness and the occasional lunacy.

Join us on a journey of experimentation, posing, dancing, blah blah blah, to achieve a style utterly, uniquely, unequivocally... our own
Together with our friends and affiliates, we look forward to shooting for fun, for charity, for the hell of it...
Oh yeah.... and for art's sake..

Born in 1981, it was my childhood dream to be a writer. That dream changed somewhat when I was introduced to my first computer at the age of 15. I built my first website then.
I tried to go the ‘sensible’ route by studying for a diploma in information technology in College (Polytechnic), trying to make my parents happy, who thought i would grow up to be a lawyer. There is a risk of getting disowned if I told them that I wanted to go to art school. (Singapore is a very realistic, pragmatic society.)
Studying data structures & algorithms, along with computing maths drove me nuts. The saving grace was programming classes though (which is handy for integrating design with code now). Nevertheless, passion overcame me and I decided to dropout to follow my heart, almost getting disowned in the process.
I couldn’t draw to save my life and under-confident of my artistic abilities, I decided to pursue a 9-month diploma course in multimedia instead of the traditional three-year art course.
It was largely technical, where I learned software skills.
The next seven years after graduation were spent working in various local outfits across different disciplines.

I naively thought that design wouldn’t be an industry where I can realistically stay in for life, thus I opted to study for a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Journalism in 2002, in an effort to pursue my original dream. Midway and several distinctions later, struggling to cope with the demands of university, financial restrictions and being an overworked full-time designer, it dawned upon me that a life without design is unconceivable. I deferred my degree course and focused on my career.
I still hope to complete the degree one day.
Fast forward to July 2007, I decided to take the leap of faith to be an independent designer in pursuit of happiness.

Other interesting bits
I heart manchester united, seldom miss a live match on tv, travel when my finances allow me to and love to read. I tend to buy too many books and have too little time to finish them. I remain hopeful though.
A freethinker, I believe in god but not restricted to any particular religion. Strongly influenced by spiritual concepts such as karma, synchronicity, I feel that the skies tell us more than we would like to believe.
Everything happens for a reason, and that includes you, reading this passage now. :)

We specialise mostly in cases for iPods, Macbooks and Macbook Pros but can custom build cases to any size so as long as you can provide us with the dimensions of your gadget. We believe strongly in quality and not quantity. This is the reason why Fabrix cases are made only from the finest fabrics and that each design is produced in limited quantities, making them unique.

How it all began?
In the pursuit for the ultimate case to compliment the iPod, we asked ourselves, "How can we keep the iPod in its original pristine state, yet be able to carry it around stylishy just like a fashion accessory?". It then dawned upon us that the answer was right in front of us. We took the sock and silicon skin concepts, took away the ugly and dust-trapping silicon, added soft inner paddings and funky external fabrics, all sewn to perfection in precise measurements --- a Fabrix case was born.
What makes Fabrix your ideal choice?
Each Fabrix design is available only in limited quantities and we do not stock up on the old designs. Exclusiveness is what Fabrix focuses on.
